I don't think I've ever seen this car from the '97 TS.

e: Other than the photo you posted.

The rest of the set is all Field Fillers - Winston West regulars that barely got any screen time during the broadcast. The final one I have yet to really make any headway on is going to be an absolute PITA though....... its a regular season Winston West driver - Scott Gaylord - but unlike his fellow racers he isn't driving a close variation of his normal paint scheme, he's driving a completely different car! So, for like, Gunselman and Woodside and Sedgwick I can watch the Winston West race and get a general idea of their paint scheme to base this one on if I can't see them at all in Thunder Special race footage. That approach won't work for Gaylord.

so freaking awesome....I have a two Japan programs from 1998 and I think 1997...while there would be no photos on what the car looked like in the race. there could be that base paint scheme idea you where talking about.

The coup-de-grace. The car that I am singularly most proud of out of this entire set of cars. Yes, these are the actual Japanese sponsors and I had help finding and verifying them from a co-workers significant other. They include: Imuraya (a food and confectionary producer), Two Imuraya products, CoroCoro Aniki (a Manga publisher), Tamiya (Models and Hobbies), and Gunbluster XTO (a line of small RC cars produced by Tamiya).

Kazuteru Wakida, Japanese driver (who also ran a partial Winston West season in 1997), in the 1997 Thunder Special.

even though it's Motegi...it could help
Ooo! Thanks! I do have a few of his Taurus from Motegi, but not this particular one. I'm 90% certain that yellow, black and white decal right in from of the rear wheels is on the '97 car as well - but I still don't know what it is! hah.

I know his '97 hood is just the Coca-cola logo and the 'Oliver' text. I can tell the just below the side windows and above the wheels is most likely the logo for SMS Motorsports..... but I don't know what that looks like yet! I know he has Eibach on the C-pillar, Oliver and Unitog on the rear quarter. But the rest of those teensie secondary sponsors is a toss up.
