In 2008 Busch Beer was replaced as the title sponsor of NASCAR's 2nd premier division by Nationwide. This was a year which saw Clint Bowyer win the championship and Kyle Busch win 10 races during the season. IndyCar driver Dario Franchitti also made starts in the Nationwide series this year.
