I finally did it! Here is an 86 car set representing the "classics" of MST3k. These cars are a part of the S.O.L. Cup (Satellite of Love) .
I consider myself an "adequate" painter so don't expect anything flashy but more along the lines of a Cup 90 era scheme. All pit crews are done.
Credits? Just the standard Cup 90 templates, Google for images and Josh Way MST3k DVD covers.
Why Cup 90? It's the era that ran at the same time of the show's heyday.
Ratings? Seriously? I really don't know how to rate a fictional set. I was toying with giving my favorite episodes the best ratings and have the rest as field fillers. I also thought of just globally changing the ratings every race to get a "Wacky Races" feel. I'm still up in the air on this so play around with the ratings to your liking.
Drivers? You'll notice that some drivers are the iconic characters (Torgo, Mikey, Droppo, etc.) and some are iconic actors (Peter Graves, Bela Lugosi, Michael Landon, etc.) I've also posted them in the "last name" column so I see their full name on the leaderboard.
It was fun doing this and although there were close to 200 episodes in the original series, this set, to me , repesents the most recognized and iconic.
