Paint shop pro 7 as in 2007 its available out there, it wont open the newer templates anything 100 layers and under. I have PSPX7 but i like the older version.

Yeah on the template highlight the background and change the color, on the logos the on the parts layer. you can remove them psp7 you can use the eraser or selection tool.

if you are using one of the templates, than you can remove the sponsers belts etc. Now if your talking in the game paint shop, the manufacturer can be removed , this is a little different , removeing the man. instructions should be here somewhere just have to search for it

Yes there is a car viewer, that is easier to use than importing into game.

The mask is the shape, layer of the car it just shows you what the car looks like what areas you have to paint. The reason you turn it off when done painting your car, because you will see the outside edge lines, if you request a render it will show where your paint edge stops. Leave it on...

Sounds like your not painting the car base layer, all templates have layers, each layer needs to be highlighted to paint. If the whole template paints the color you are using than you have to check the layer on the layer palate We need to know what paint program you are using? PSP7 is older...
