I have to first say that I claim to be nothing more than a hacker when it comes to 3ds Max. I have the 2017 student version and up until recently, I thought I did pretty well figuring out how to use it to make nice renders of the cars I created for the members of my offline league. I am nowhere near ready to start creating my own scenes, but I may tackle that endeavor at some point. Most of the scenes I have used in the past probably came from here. I guess my most-used scene was the BR Gen6 3-car scene. It is easy for me to use. I just turn on the correct components for whatever make of car I want, then drag my elements onto the model. I can drag and drop the paint scheme onto the car, colors/textures onto the rims, and even different types of tires. However, I haven't been able to figure out the newer scenes I've downloaded. I have the 2019 SNG Render Scene and I've figured out how to move it around and manipulate it, But, when I try to do the drag-and-drop thing, it doesn't work. E.g., the car texture goes onto the windows and front and rear windshields. Obviously, these scenes are made a little differently than what I am used to. Perhaps someone can offer a little advice and direction. But just remember to explain it like you were explaining a microwave oven to a caveman....LOL! Thanks in advance!

Welp, after just a half-hour or so on the phone with garrett1127, I'm a million times more educated than I used to be! (Just remember that a million times zero is still zero!)

I can't begin to thank you for your time, Sir! I'm extremely grateful for the opportunity to learn something, and even more for your willingness to help out a member of the community! That's what puts you all head and shoulders above all the rest!!

I did some rendering with the new SNG scene, but I discovered their '19 Camaro is a little different in the front end than their '18 version. So, I'll have to transfer this scheme over to the new template. But, the main thing is I am now able to use these scenes! Pretty darn happy about that!

Thanks again for the help!!

Oh, and credits....mod-SNG, template-SNG, scene-SNG, ability to successfully use the scene-garrett1127, base-Stunod (slightly modified by me), numbers-Big Evil (slightly modified by me), everything else-Google

Just to close the door on this, I transferred the car over to the '19 SNG template (which took longer than I thought it would), and then I played around some with the '19 SNG render scene. Things line up much better now! Thanks again for the help, garrett1127!!!
