NR2003 Track/Mod Wishlist

What I really want is a 1996 carset for CUP98, and 2006/2007 for SNG mods. And/or a finished GN55 mod, or a new one.
I had started to do a 1996 set months ago, but you know, jobs, women, children, routines, I just let it go and trashed it.

Does that mean that I can get my wish of GNS55, Dodge Daytona, AD67 Porsche 908, and Gen-6 in the same race, if I can work out how to pull them out of the existing .dat files and repack them?

Here is How you do it

Yes it Is you do it the same way you change any mod The only thing you will haft to do is re-name the 5 make_a 3do files like this
make_a_gtp
make_a_gtp_light_cockpit
make_a_gtp_pieces
make_a_gtp_shadow
make_a_gtp_ui
then re-name the cam file to make_a_gtp.cam

Next your Series file like this
[Series]
car_classes=17 ; Bitwise-or of allowed classes.
given_name=Crates On Dirt_GTP ; Unlocalized series name
type=3 ; (0=cup, 1=gns, 2=truck)

Now your cars using the ~Modify Car Files change all your cars to pta now you will haft to do this next part by hand every car you want to use you will haft to change the car file name from xxxxx.pta.car to xxxxx.gtp.car
If you want to use your car list you will haft to do the same thing

NOW the .dat file has to have the name RDgtp
The Series folder has to be named RDgtp

That is it YOU WILL HAFT BACK UP YOUR SERIES FOLDER FIRST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The new mod file will replace the RDgtp mod that is in your Series folder
I have attach Cup to gtp to use and look at.
You will haft to use the gtp_launcher1.1.0.0 for it to work

Was playing the new 1987 cars on Daytona in iRacing, and it got me thinking it would be amazing if it was possible to make a Daytona like that for nr2003. The low grip forcing you to lift sometimes really makes the racing the most intense I've ever experienced on a plate track, it's a blast.

I'm still hoping for an updated PTA ride height fix exe, the existing one doesn't work with windows 10 EDIT: found!
For a more "traditional" mod, I'd love to see some touring cars, like compact hatchbacks/sedans like you see in BTCC/WTCC, with ICR style noses so we could keep the mod up to date with templates. That wouldn't just be fun on road courses, but could easily become a fun fictional series for ovals too. I already know exactly what I'd do for a carset if that happened!
As for tracks, I'm still holding out hope that we'll see some more road courses from around the world - we've got nothing from modern Italy or Brazil, for example, two countries that play BIG roles in international racing. I wouldn't mind a 2020 Bullrun update, either.
