I like things neat and tidy...Offline Leagues can become a mess if not policed....leaving a slew of unfinished and even un-started Series threads and the disillusioned membership in their wake...

Nobody wants that...

This will be a Work In Progress, this because I want it to address things as they come up.

The reason for this set of rules is so that our good members don't have their time wasted by folks who have good intentions but don't follow through with their series.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
RULES
1) ALL Offline Leagues MUST post a start date (even if it changes) and a due date for posting car flats (if they are members are to use them)
2) While not mandatory, I strongly suggest anyone who is running a series post a schedule of events (races).
:relievedface: Use of a formal "Sign Up Form" is also strongly advised. If you need help with this, PM me and I'll help you out.
4) Any Offline Leagues Thread that goes 30 days without any activity (either by the series moderator or participants) will be deleted.
5) If your series has no sign-ups, then it is a "Mock Season" not and "Offline League", thus it will be moved to that section....

6) You may not call your series "Stunod Racing...this or that..." any series with that name attached implies that it is an "Official" Series of the site and no one has earned that status at this time...I will be editing ALL of the threads with that name...

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

After this initial year of Offline Leagues, I will look over the threads and will consider creating a section for specific Series if the member running said series wants to continue.

NOTE: These rules are retroactive, meaning that ALL Series Moderators (ie...the person who started the Series Thread) needs to add a start date to their first post in EACH thread. A schedule is again, strongly suggested. Any Series thread that does not abide by these rules will be quite un-ceremonially deleted...You have been warned!

While I don't want to make a rule about this, as I read through many of the series threads I see lots of unnecessary back and forth about things that could be handled by using a simple form in the top of folks first post that gives specifics about what form the paints are to take, driver details etc...

If I may suggest using this or a form very similar to it (some of you have already done this so ignore this...

You can have the entrants cut and paste this kind of form (using as many drivers as you want to allow each team to have)
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Team Name:

Driver Name:
Car Number:
Make:
Need Car Painted: [ ] (Y or N)
Post Car Flat or Link Below

I would add a note about folks NOT linking to a site but only to a file in my series rules. Folks running a series shouldn't have to run all over the net looking for a car that someone wants, make the entrant do that work. They can post a jpg or tga file or a car file link under each driver's part of the form...but this is all up to the series moderator.

This is how a completed sign-up in my series would look:
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Team Name: Highbank Autosport

Driver Name: Roger Simon
Car Number: 35
Make: Nissan (on Jag)
Need Car Painted: [ N ] (Y or N)
Post Car Flat or Link Below

Driver Name: Dustin Gurney
Car Number: 16
Make: Porsche (on Jag)
Need Car Painted: [ N ] (Y or N)
Post Car Flat or Link Below

++++++++++++++++++++++++++

I always had my entrants use thumbnails that took me to a full sized car flat, in this case a jpg.

So there you go, food for thought...

No NEW Offline Leagues will be allowed without my permission. I will be developing a application for those who would like to start a new series at Stunod Racing. Once it is filled out it will be reviewed with particular attention given to the applicants site history.

I've explained at length my affinity for Offline Leagues/Series, I will not have their reputation further impugned and sullied by folks whom do not really understand the amount of work and attention they require. If you have read the rules set forth previously all of this is clearly understood. YET some have posted new Offline Leagues/series threads and abandoned them. Intention or no, this is not cool. Savy?

Future Offline Leagues/Series will need to be approved BEFORE they will be allowed.

Look for the application to be be posted in a "stickied" post at the top of this section soon.

That is all...:)

Guys, I'm just trying to keep things at a high standard and not see people disappointed by entering a series only to have it abandoned by it's starter/poster...

I've been on that end so many times, just trying to support someone's Offline only to have it go nowhere....it sucks when that happens. I just don't want to see that anymore. That sometimes means I have to "adult" and wave the "Admin Stick" more than I want to...

Strato I appreciate you making yourself clear on that...I have no issue with your series...If you are able to, just keep them moving forward, if not just let me know and if you need to put a pause on one of them, that's fine. Just keep me in the loop....

Carry on...

Hey I have a question.

I would like to post my personal league on here but it's not a league with sign ups, where could I put it?

So you're basically running a series and posting results? If that's the case i'd call it a "Mock Series" or "Mock Season"
