Chalk this up to a tiny detail I would have never noticed...... A racing fan over on FB brought my attention to the fact that the original downloadable Pontiac template for the cup98 pack from SnG came equipped with an incorrect 'Pontiac' textual logo. The logo from the template uses the blockier style font found on 2003+ Grand Prix products. The font style used for most of the 90's and early 2000's had heavily rounded corners on the letters. I am working on updating my downloadable Pontiac paints to reflect the time period correct rear bumper and hood 'Pontiac' text!

Hands down still one of my all-time favorite schemes, great job recreating it. I can cross these off my list. lol
It's kind of interesting to see how the #44 scheme evolved ever so slightly each year between 97 and 99. Blue went from something near Petty blue to something darker and more metallic looking, track goes more neon and then gets lighter and gains a little metallic feel itself, eventually drops the white lower underlayer etc. Small changes over each of those 3 years until we get to the mess of a scheme that was the 2000 job...

Yeah, I liked how they kept the scheme and just made changes each year to make it different. Always thought that version was the best looking one of the three. I liked the royal blue like color the scheme originally was but the darker blue just made that scheme pop so much better. Petty had some great looking schemes in the late 90s but so did most other team's.

Posted now - also look for a new version of the Blues Brothers scheme with some corrected colors and associate sponsors (if you've downloaded that one previously already).
