Waterford Speedbowl Under New Management

If anyone has been following the NASCAR Whelen Mod Tour, then you know about all the drama about New London-Waterford Speedbowl.

Recently, it has been purchased by a new owner. For those of you wondering about the previous owner, let's just say he doesn't have a good future ahead of him... As for the new one? Time will tell, hopefully he has good intentions and NASCAR will bring their series back to the Bowl.

As a person who lives in Connecticut, it's nice to see someone want to take the risk and purchase it. Racing isn't a popular thing around here, so it's nice to see for sure.

My understanding is that the facility is being leased to a new management team led by George Whitney. Information on a 2017 racing schedule is forthcoming. The New London-Waterford Speedbowl, however, still remains under the ownership of Bruce Bemer at this time.
