@The_Tigg Tigg, I need to see who all come up with AMS2 before we can actually move in that direction...

@C5Volzfan John, I love the Prototypes, for me they represent the evolution of the Can-Am cars...pretty darn unlimited, pretty darn cool, and pretty darn fun to drive.
@Highbank , Bill, I know you like the Prototypes, and for the same reasons that I do, I just didn't think some of the others felt that way...but I could be, and probably am, wrong.

I'm going to go ahead and pull the trigger on the AMS2 and everything that @The_Tigg suggested. I spent most of the day with Trae, and we discussed it, and he is looking at it, too. If it is truly that much better than AC, I need to try it. Perhaps I shouldn't have bought The ACC bundle yesterday, but I'm sure I'll enjoy it, too.

Anyway, I'm glad I don't have a drink in my hand to play your drinking game in this thread! I have to get up early in the AM...going to Knoxville with Trae to see the Vols play!

AMS 2 has so far 4 IMSA tracks in it, Daytona, Long Beach, VIR, and Laguna Seca. With the sim having DPi's and GTE's brought in the game, one can only hope that the rest of the IMSA tracks will be coming soon. Wouldn't it be interesting that IMSA would back a sim other then Iracing.

With that said, we're sim racers, we're used to disappointment.

You will not be disappointed, I don't spend as much time as I'd like to in AMS 2 for fear of losing what little driving skills I have in AC.

We know, we have the same conversation about AMS 2 in 3 different threads, you're not crazy enough to keep up with us, LOL!

ACC and AMS2 are both pretty sweet! I don't really feel much difference driving between them and AC. I never mess with the ffb stuff, just leave it stock unless it's a track like Daytona where it tries to shake itself off the desk in the nascar corners. But then even, I just turn down the stock FFB to whatever % it needs to quit shaking. But anyway, the main differences, imo, are the weather physics and graphics, sounds are all top notch too! Not sure about online. I've run both ACC and AMS2 very limited online.

And I like the Prototypes just fine!! Love em actually! But then, that's bad for you guys.. x'D

Well, I now have 'em both.....at least I will when AMS2 finishes downloading. It'll be Sunday before I can really mess with 'em much, but we shall see. I'll probably have some questions for some of you guys that already have them! ;)
I sure hope I like them and can use them.....cost me my Whiskey allowance for the next couple of months! `6`

AMS 2 has PC 2's weather, so there's that. I've done an off line rain race in ACC and it felt like GTR2, so in that aspect it's all good.

I prefer the way AMS 2 drives over ACC before this weeks big up-date to ACC, I haven't driven ACC since the big Up-date. There's nothing wrong with ACC, it drives fine, but to me is way more limited then AMS 2, it seems the developers of ACC doesn't care about anything but the Euro market. It seems to me that the developers of AMS 2 realize the market potential of the U.S. and are developing their sim to capture the the U.S. drivers and their money.

That's my opinion in a nut shell.

We did RF1 for what, almost 6 months, did RF2 for 1 series and a few test runs, we've been on AC for the better part of 2 and a half years all because content is king. But when that content seems to drive the same in almost every series that's not a high grip car(those all feel the same too). it tends to get boring.

This is my honest opinion, I think we should jump to AMS2 while the iron is hot. I'm hoping against hope we'll get Road America, Mid-Ohio and the all might Sebring at the very least in the next North American tack pack, which I haven't found any info for, yet. Even at the point the sim is at now almost ever car has a different feel, at least to me, hell the GT3's and GTE's feel slightly different. Oh and 4 different prototypes!?!?!?!?!?!

Yeah those tracks would be great, I myself am not into many of the Euro tracks. Was glad when I saw they got Long Beach and Laguna.
Love to see Watkins...

I had not messed with AMS2 for a bit cuz there was hardly anyone ever online to race with, I think there are more cars since.
Prototypes.. oh those P1. P2 etc cars , yuck LOL. I like more Normal cars. Wish they had an AMC Hornet in these too :). Surprised I can drive the little Abarths OK, usually little Imports go nuts on me and go everywhere but where I want LOL.

But yes the close to one another classed cars in AMS2 do have a different feel from one another.
Pecan Pie!

Yea, no ContentManager for ACC or AMS2. And the thing that I don't know much about, which could be a drag if so, is painting skins and using them online? I don't think either sim has a great multiplayer platform yet? RF2 was a similar pain in the butt, if I recall? I've read about multiplayer servers on those sims but don't recall much about leagues and running custom skins online? Im sure Tigg or Bill would know more about it.

No, what you see is what you get, the sim isn't made to be modded. AC2 that's coming next year(?) will be.

AMS2 has a multiplayer interface exactly like PC2 has, the player base is growing everyday. As for skin, I believe they can be added, but haven't looked that hard. There are painted cars for download to add to ACC and AMS2 at RaceDepartment, so...
