An epic battle at Lime Rock as the series winds down....
Tom Daven would once again rule the track for Race 10. Leading all but the first two laps, Daven would end up leading the lion's share of the laps and take home the final win of the series making his tally 5 in the SRF Championships.
Mick Nesevitch finished 2nd after running 2-3 on the average.
Dan Kaisinger would run a solid race and grab the final podium position at 3rd.
Johnny Vesterlund was battling ai much of the way running an average 10th place but rallied late to finish 4th.
Bill Harrison had his best run of the series running as high as second but a late race spin would earn him a 5th place finish.
Heartbreak Award or maybe the Outsmarted Himself Award goes to Tom Howell who was running 3rd when his light fuel load strategy came back to bite him making him have to pit for a splash and ended up a lap down in 8th.
Tom Daven takes the Zoom Racing World Rookie of the Season Award by finishing 3rd in points with 333pts. "It was great to join the action at ZRW for this season with the SRFs and put up an astonishing record of five wins from the six starts that I and the Furniture Row Racing team made. Congrats to Howell on the championship, we'll be sure to make a challenge for the title next season after such a fantastic rookie campaign."
I'd like to thank My sponsor PPG Industries for funding my car for this series, and all my crew members for hanging out and giving me some fast race cars, but the crew chief got fired after the last race do to a mis-calculation on the fuel load.....sorry bud, but you just gotta know the limits of the car. I wish to thank everyone who came out and enjoyed the fun races we put on for your viewing pleasure. Hope to see you at the track again next series, and bring your friends, the more tickets we sell, the more us drivers will get paid.
