Today i completed a dream of mine! Now the 2nd Part Begins!
Met with Nascar Modified Legend Jamie Tomaino today and purchased a 2000 Troyer Modified!
The Chassis is bare, but we have all the parts to rebuild it! Just needs an engine. I have the transmission.
I havent been this happy in a very long time! Truly honored to own one of his cars.

This is awesome! I was going to offer to come help for a weekend or something. I'm pretty good at turning wrenches but then I saw that you're in NC. A little bit of a drive from Lacey, Washington! Wish you all the luck getting this project up and going.

I was fortunate enough to race in Winston West way way back in the mid 90's and then with my boys a few years ago in some late model race. Some of the best times in my life but unfortunately this youngish/old body can't handle it any more. One piece of advice I can give you is to have a great shock/spring selection and know how to use them. We could dominate many races against some of the people that had better chassis and engines than us because of how good we could handle and adapt from one race to another. So fun!!!

I'll be following this! It has always been a dream of mine to get behind the wheel of a race car, but at 18, I've already basically missed the mark.

Out of curiosity, what did the car look like before the sheet metal was removed? When was it last raced? Always wondered what the shelf life of those modifieds was.
