Another pretty good week scoring week among the Pick'em players. 21 entrants combined for an average of 195.86 points. 9 of the 21 scored 200 or higher. In the Cup Series, Hamlin and Byron lead the way with 3 wins each, but nobody in the Stunod Pick'em Series had 3 wins in 2024 ...until now. CardinalCopia, db512, and Blogospheros all had 2 wins going into Kansas. Perhaps to the surprise of no one, it's db512 who notches win #3 of 2024 with the victory at Kansas and a beefy winning score of 224 points. The margin of victory was 6 points, an enormously large distance compared to the actual race, over the returning Ackbarfan who came home in 2nd place. The whole rest of the top 5 came home in 3rd place in the form of a three way tie between Highbank, CardinalCopia and DaveyFan28 who notches a rare top 5 finish.

Congrats to @db512 on the win!

Nobody would be surprised to see the player with the most wins atop the standings, but what you might be surprised about is how nobody in 2nd, 3rd, or 4th in points has any wins in 2024. You gotta go all way to CardinalCopia who's now in 5th to find someone with a win in 2024. But if you look at the weekly averages, the standings all make perfect sense. We've got 14 races left before those wins become key so plenty of time still. The points lead widened out to 90 points over Mariner in 2nd place. NascarRyan24 holds firm in 3rd place with Cola83 in 4th.

On the rookie front, only two competitors remain who have entered every race in 2024. Those would be rookie points leader Kevmire and now 2nd place QBoi 76 points back of the lead. Entering each race is not required though since eventually everybody's total score will only be made up of their best 18 races. Those who eventually enter all 36 races in 2024 will simply have the maximum number of chances to drop their worst scores. So if any rookies out there are thinking their season is shot because of a missed race, fear not. You're still very much in the hunt. It'll just take a few more weeks until the standings show it.

Now for an important note as we move ahead. Your Pick'em Commish is going to be away traveling through Europe for the upcoming race weekends at Darlington and the All-Star Race at North Wilkesboro/Coke 600 at Charlotte combined weekends. If you recall what happened last season, you'll know how this is going to work. By the time you read this, both race threads will be open along with the unusual scoring breakdown for the All-Star Race. Feel free to make your picks whenever you'd like up until the official start of each event. Once I return during the week following Memorial Day weekend, I will post the results as they become available as well as open the Gateway race thread.

With that, let's check out the full results from Kansas
