Six races into 2024 and we have six different winners. This trophy was tough because the margin of victory was exactly zero points. There was a tie this week for the win between two players neither of whom has won yet in 2024. In fact the highest either one had finished prior to this past weekend was a 3rd just last weekend at Bristol. Between Mariner and Team48Carvana, someone had to claim the win, and it was
Team48Carvana winning the tiebreaker and the race by virtue of only being a total of 6 places off combined among all 5 picks. Mariner doesn't get the win for playoff purposes but still gets 10 bonus points and 5 playoff points. NascarRyan24 gets 1 playoff point for a 3rd place finish. Cola83 finished 4th followed by another tie. This one was for 5th place between rookie ClarkG27 and the amazingly consistent db512 who scores yet another top 5 finish.

Looking at the point now, steady Eddy db512 maintains a 58 point lead on new 2nd place Mariner. They're followed by Ackbarfan in 3rd, NascarRyan24 in 4th, and Connor24fan in 5th exactly 100 points back of 1st place.
Shout out to
@Nascar20 who joined us for the first time this past weekend at COTA. Didn't get the best finish but that's how it goes sometimes. There's definitely time to contend for both the ROTY award and the 2024 series championship.
Speaking of rookies, Kevmire currently leads the overall rookie points by 64 over Stueylouie and 88 over QBoi. Everybody else will begin to catch up and even out once we get beyond 18 races. In the meantime, the ROTY standings shows how many races each player has run so far in 2024.
