OMG The 2022 Hyundai Santa Cruz is the Subaru Baja of my dreams!
I mostly just love weird vehicles

Speaking as an Australian, not only is the 2022 Hyundai Santa Cruz not weird but decidedly normal. Ford Australia invented the Coupe Utility in 1934 after a lady wrote to them asking for a car “to go to church in on a Sunday, that could also carry our pigs to market on Mondays." To that end, Chevy, Henry, Humpy, Datto and Scooby and a bunch of others have all made utes.
I want to like the 2021 Hyundai Santa Cruz (Get your dates right people. Model year literally means nothing once you leave the showroom. It's all about build date) but a dinky little tray bed and a wee 2.5L four potter isn't enough to pull the skin off a rice pudding.
If I could dream, it would be this:
Bung in the Tau V8 and detune it to about 350 horsies. We want longevity if we're going to chuck it over dirt roads.
Dream people. What do we want to see?
And, like this insubstantial pageant faded,
Leave not a rack behind. We are such stuff
As dreams are made on; and our little life
Is rounded with a sleep.
