For my next track, I present you Blue Moon Bay, from Gran Turismo 7.

It is a track similar to Pocono, however it is half a mile shorter and has more banking. I've done the best I can to recreate it in NR2003 for the moment, perhaps I'll add even more detail at some point further down the line.

  1. Small overhaul

Hey everyone, today I have an update for Blue Moon Bay for you, here's what's new: -added some...

Latest reviews

A lot better than before.
Unfortunately, as I do not see this track coming out of beta as none of your tracks seem to be uploaded as complete, I will be rating this as a 1.0 Version. If the track is updated, I will gladly re-review. On face value, the track is not half bad. The graphics look alright, and the racing is OK. It’s a very fun layout to bomb around solo, But the more you race it against AI, the more and more the faults of the track show.

I will start with the AI lines; you need to junk these and redo them. The race.lp and raceline.lp need to be junked. They are about worthless as you rode the brakes while recording them, unlike the other lines you need to record these lines at race speed to maximize the AI's ability to take the track. You also seem to have lazily duplicated pit0 and the panic lines instead if putting in the effort to make them separate. While the pit0 is bad, copying over the panic lines is the eviler of the two. You leave no more room for the AI to dodge a crash past the given min and max racelp’s, meaning they do not understand they have more room to work with, such as the apron, grass, and right up top near the wall.

Graphics are another can of worms. While they look alright, there is a few things you could easily touch on to bring the track to a higher standard, and a lot left to be desired. You recreated the track to the letter, and that is alright. But you have the opportunity to bring new life into it as well as recreate it. Who says you cannot add some flare? Some nr2003 magic if you will? You have hundreds of eyes on these tracks from people who have never raced it in its original form, blow them out of the water, impress them so hard they want to play the original game. Why you never add more to the track and push what is possible is beyond me, as you clearly are very adept at what you do. Im glad to see this track has an infield mip to cover the void a little bit, but it could really do with some buildings, garages, trailers, RV's, People, or anything really. The Scenery is really boring, as there is pretty much nothing in the infield. It hurts because Blue Moon is a fantastic track with drop-dead gorgeous scenery. Its a shame none of that transferred here, as this track is essentially a grass field with trees and a front straight.

While there is a lot of bad, there is a lot of good as well. As for the INI work, it looks good. There is not much here I can critique other than you forgot to add lap records to display on the track info page. Somehow you managed to make the racing passable despite the LP’s holding everything back. The track setup was easily controllable and did not feel too out of place. The inclusion of cameras is a nice addition, even if it is a bit wonky at spots, it gets the job done well. The layout is about spot on as well, and it does feel like Blue Moon.

There is a lot more I can talk about, but to be honest this is an alright track, and I know you really do not care about reviews. I am glad to see you improving with every track you upload and are enjoying what you do, but please, at least consider the advice I listed in your showroom. You blew me off and ignored me, which kind of took me by surprise if I am honest. I 100% understand you building these for yourself and yourself only, but why not treat yourself to something nice? You could at least make the AI baller and have a much more fun time racing them, or make it look better so you can say "that looks cool as hell" as you fly by your own creation.

Unfortunately, as much as I respect the hustle to have your own 36 tracks for a personal championship, this review is made from a players point of view. As much as I like it, I cant in good conscience rate this any higher, there is too many errors and too much potential left un-tapped.

The fact that you said you weren't going to review my tracks because they aren't 1.0 releases, then do it anyway is appalling. I did not "blow you off". I explained to you why your specific advice wasn't 100% helpful to me. Also, I know my tracks need more work. I know you want each and every one to be absolutely perfect and have their potential fully realized. I honestly don't know what to tell you, and I'm sorry that I disappoint you for not pouring every ounce of myself into each track. I think they are fine, and I don't need to meet or surpass anyone's expectations but my own. I do this for fun, not for attention, not for fame. Each of these tracks is a little love letter to each and every franchise they come from, and simply making recreations of them shows how much I care about each and how much impact they have had in my life. If you wanna talk about this more, my thread's wide open, but I've said my piece.
Looks like a fun track, glad your back.
