In the late 1950s, NASCAR had the idea of creating a division centering around Convertibles. For the most part, these were merely normal stock-cars being raced in the Grand National Series, but with the roofs chopped off. It has the distinction of being the first NASCAR series to see a young man named Richard Petty in victory lane. It's short life-span would end in 1960, although a few scattered races were held at Darlington before finally being brought to an end due to safety concerns.
NOTE: THESE WERE DONE WITHOUT AID OF TEMPLATE A YEAR OR TWO AGO AND ARE FAR FROM MY BEST WORK. THEY ARE BEING RELEASED MERELY TO FILL VOID UNTIL MORE SERIOUS WORK CAN BE DONE!
