It wasn't exactly a third straight scoring bonanza but we now have our second multi-race winner of 2024. The 2023 Pick'em champion CardinalCopia secures the playoff spot and the right to defend the championship with win #2 of 2024 this past weekend in Texas! The margin of victory was 6 points over Cola83 who notches top 3 finish #2 of 2024. Bristol winner 2448fan4life also scores a playoff point with a 3rd place finish. Blogospheros had a strong run with a top 5 in 4th. Rounding out the top 5 was a tie between Ackbarfan and Team48Carvana. 9 whole points separated the entire top 5.

Some strong runs by players outside the top 10 shuffled the deck a bit in the standings. db512 has settled into the points lead but the gap has closed to 78 over Ackbarfan. Mariner holds down 3rd now 85 back. Connor24fan maintains 4th 92 points behind the leader. Now 2-time 2024 race winner CardinalCopia joins the top 5 in points thanks to the Texas win.
Texas was another rough week for the rookie brigade. Rookie points leader Kevmire was the only rookie who made it into the top 10. The other five rookies who entered Texas occupied 5 of the bottom 6 places in the finishing order. But fret not because this coming weekend is Talladega where literally ANYTHING can happen. Will someone in the rookie battle join Kevmire in the 2024 race winners club? Could we have someone win their 1st ever Pick'em start at Talladega? It is very possible! So hopefully everybody makes their picks and we'll see where we end up this time next week.
That will wrap it up from the second and final trip to the Lone Star State in 2024. Let's see how it all shook out.

Can't believe I won, I thought I was finished when Bell wrecked but the race just kept getting crazier. Looking forward to Talladega!
