Hit OK and it should appear. I know there has to be a way to move the background around but it's too complicated for me at this stage in learning. So it's just hit or miss for me..

It will work on all except the lower right scene. The upper left is probably the best to have a skyline type background. I have a ton of questions to ask about adding missing files because when I try the MENCS 17 scene i have no glass or tires just bleed over from the paints.

You know, I never knew that. I must have watched 60 hours or more of vids, not once did any of those say you could do that. (for the background)
Word of advice, watch some of the vids on how max is structured and all the different elements, you'll be less confused down the line.

OK, here's what I found out, this way to import a scene background is ok if you have a scene without a bowl for the lighting source. They will be all screwed up if the scene has a bowl. As with most scenes, they use one.

That's the same issue I have Garrett. most newer scenes have a bowl and I have watched videos tried all kinds of things but my back ground scene is huge.

I just started using Max '16 and I'm having some of these same issues with the backgrounds. Either the background renders huge and distorted or not at all...
