Quite apart from the sheer nutbaggery of Noah Gragson, what we see in this race is a bunch of cars who approach the blind crest of a hill and then plough into the on-track melee ahead of them because they can't see what's in front.
There is a very good argument to be made on superspeedways that brake lights and headlights would be a dangerous distraction. However, on road courses and on entrance to pit lane, I think that there would be a great deal of sensibility in having brake lights and blinkers.
Blinker lights to indicate that someone is turning down onto pit lane at a superspeedway seems like an obvious fait accompli to me. Brake lights in a situation like Road America might have helped a dozen cars not to become involuntary bits of wreckage.
I think that with LEDs, that this is a fairly easy fix and could be run for microvolts of the total electric budget.
What about thee? Is it Yea or Nay?
