Nope
Couple of questions about this (you don't have to answer in a list, however you feel is sufficient)
1. Which do you like better 2 mile or short track configuration
2. Which track do you think will provide better racing
3. How would changing (or not changing) the configuration of Auto Club speedway affect the sport as it runs today
4. General thoughts, I'm intrigued to hear what you guys have to say.

My answers:
1. 2 mile oval
2. Short Track (Always a good time)
3. I think that if NASCAR decides to change it it will be a massive undertaking and in result we might not see racing at auto club in 2024 or 2025, which could be at massive detriment to the audience in that particular area as the regulars to the track wouldn't be able to go for those year/years that the track was closed. In other words, short term failure for a hopeful long term success.
4. I always loved the racing at the 2 mile track and sure a short track on the west coast would be great. But considering the fact that the surface of the track is getting older, the racing and strategies might get more interesting as time passes.

No.
1. Both are flawed.
2. Yeah, nah.
3. For reasons I will state.

4. The problem with the mile-and-a-half/2 mile D-shaped ovals is that from the beginning of Turn 3 to the end of Turn 2, the cars are constantly rotating. Atlanta, Kansas, Chicagoland, Auto Club.. all suffer from this same problem. It is as if they took Langhorne Speedway and decided that the "puke bowl" was a good idea. As for Auto Club, the short answer is that apart from the back straight, the cars are constantly turning. Once you adjust a car for front grip, it becomes more aero dependent in a corner.
The best tracks, are Daytona, Bristol to some degree, Richmond (?) but Darlington is the best of all because the two ends are different radii and the bankings are different. That juggling between two vastly different ends means that setup will always be wrong at one end of the track.

I think that they best answer would have been a kidney bean.

I agree with everything you say, expect for the last part. Sure it’s an idea. But I don’t know that another, I guess you could call it a road course on the schedule would be overwhelming, especially considering the fact that the next gen car didn’t exactly provide good racing at road courses. That’s just me though. I think that all of what you said is a good statement. But the solution could be better.

No.
The last kidney bean oval that I know that the Grand National Series raced at was Trenton Speedway.

I'd want to pitch the "reverse" corner at maybe 8°
