Ricky Hendrick's story is well documented, but one part of his career that gets overlooked is the Cup start he almost had at Rockingham in a 5th Hendrick Motorsports car. According to Jayski, the car would have been #05 and the plan was for Ricky to eventually replace Terry Labonte when he retired. Ricky would end up not making his Cup debut after retiring from driving late in the 2002 season.
