Not asking for a release date but, I was just wonder if the guys are still look at releasing a update for the NEXT GEN mod? I thought someone has said mid season but I understand how things can change.
Thanks
It wouldn't happen to include paintable rollcages would it? That's the one thing missing from the mod for me personally, because I enjoy painting fictional cars and that extra little pop of color can go a long way. He's been working on it and has done quite a bit on it. I don't wanna put words in his mouth but it looks like its gonna be a great update with the amount of knowledge he has gained from the 1st crack at it.
It's in development but without a set release date, mostly due to the frequent changes NASCAR has made to the car and the fact that the mod is being made by a single person with a life to live outside of NR2003.Anybody heard what going on with the V2 update? It's been quite for some time and originally it was going to be released last year. Hope all is well and it's still in the works. V1 just has way too many issues.
Thanks,

i have no issues either. It's in development but without a set release date, mostly due to the frequent changes NASCAR has made to the car and the fact that the mod is being made by a single person with a life to live outside of NR2003.
I'm curious as to what these "way too many issues" are since I am able to use the NCS22 mod on a daily basis including online league races with absolutely zero problems. I even installed it on my Core i3, Intel Integrated Graphics Black Friday Special laptop and was still able to use it with no problems.

I'm curious what changes I've missed from NASCAR on the cars? I know they did some crumple zones adjustments to help prevent driver injuries but that didn't effect the exterior of the car. Did they change the spoiler this year?
I miss paintable roll cages too, always used to paint mine, but in this case it is realistic as sadly all the cars are wrapped instead of painted now IRLIt wouldn't happen to include paintable rollcages would it? And nor should he or the mod be rushed. The version we have now is perfectly suitable until the new one is ready. There were changes to the Chevy nose and to the hood vents on all three makes. I think the Ford had some changes to the front fenders at one point, too.
What has been done on the update so far should rectify many if not all of the issues. People need to remember that the NCS22 mod was made predominantly by one person when it comes to modeling, coding, scripting, etc. who only had help with textures and paint schemes...and it was his first mod, ever. What's been developed so far is pretty exciting and I'm hoping it's able to be completed, but I know he's taking his time to get it right and will absolutely not be rushed.

Looking back on recent post I'm not seeing anything posted about it not running, I pointed out I choose not to run the current version because of the issues listed in the previous post above. I never said it wouldn't run on my PC.And nor should he or the mod be rushed. The version we have now is perfectly suitable until the new one is ready.
People saying they can't run the mod are absolutely nuts. I guarantee they can run it on their systems with very little problems. All they have to do is turn some of the graphics settings down. Turn off reflections and the game wont crash and turn most of the stuff on the right side of the list off and their frame rates will be acceptable. They can fight me if they don't agree with that statement. I guarantee I am running one of... if not the oldest system currently of anyone playing the sim. And I league race with the mod. No I don't get 100 FPS... This isn't a first person shooter so such high framerates aren't needed. I run at or around 35 frames and everything typically goes smoothly. Some tracks are more texture intensive and I can't run them. BBMC for example. Even using their alternate textures it still kills my framerates to like 8 to 12.
Let me put it this way
My PC was built in August 2004. I run Windows Vista. It is a 32 bit Pentium 4 HT processor. I don't recall what my video card I currently run is. It's pretty high end for my system. I have 2.5GB of DDR1 Ram. Ain't nobody around here with their multi-cores, their i5's i7s, 10gig ram, overclocked whatever that is unable to run the mod.
