When I get bored and do not have time to do a race, I like to run an AI league where I simulate races. I use both the autostages mod and better cautions, so when it came time to race at Bristol (BBMC Bristol) I noticed a major flaw with the better cautions mod.
Once there starts to be multiple cars a lap down, a giant mess starts to commense. The leader of the race gets stuck behind lap cars while pacing, the AI does not have enough time move out of the way of the leaders and then split into double file for the restart. The AI will then still try to split into a double formation, which then causes them to bump into each other, get stuck on one another, spin each other out, and at one point in the race. The first place and the second place cars some how got stuck behind the top ten cars, so then the game allowed them to pass them under caution, which then resulted in putting everyone in the field a lap down besides two cars.
There is a couple of posts here and there on the internet about this topic, and so far no clear solution has been discovered. Is there anything not can possibly be done to solve this that has been recently discovered?
