Thanks fellas. I appreciate the support, a lot. And all that's been contributed, too. It's more than I could have asked for or expected. Which is stupid. I've been in this world since 1992. I've seen the community support for decades at this point. Y'all rock!

It was fairly common for some of the teams that didn't have solid sponsorship. But, be that as it may, this car just screams "Sure, we'll sponsor you for the race tomorrow. In 12 hours from now." lol.

Anyways, I think there's 6 variants now. I'm through 4 of them. Maybe I'll get the other 2 done, tomorrow. One is an entirely different scheme, so. Maybe tomorrow.

Mercifully, I can move onto the effing next car. Here are all 8 variants along with some extra shots of the yellow car. The Mayflower car only ran one time in 1992 in the final race at Atlanta. It ran the next year, as well, but looked a bit different. Different number, slightly different coloring, etc.

Click on any photo to expand it larger.

Special thanks to @Lastlap & @CC#48 for assisting in references photo for the Mayflower car & the ACME Automotive Finishes decal. Got to draw up some new vectors.

Yeah, basically what you said there. I'll scour through as many photos as I can locate throughout the year. Then, anything remaining that I may still not be certain about I'll usually switch to video from the year and search for any decal sheets from the year. This will often times reveal everything. But, in some cases none of the above ends up really identifying certain logos. At that point I'll usually contact modeling groups, photographers from the era, etc.

Once I have what I need I typically draw everything in Illustrator, Photoshop, or a combination of both. The more common stuff I can often just pull from 'Brands of the World' and turn them into conting decals, which is nice. But, a lot of the cars will have a couple obscure things so I'm constantly having to draw up new logos. That Ricky Rudd car I had to draw fresh logos for just so I could get everything sized right. I drew a new hood Tide logo from scratch, the numbers, The Tide's on the quarters, a couple quarter contigs, and the Tide/slogan on the tail.

It's fun to bring them to life, but I will say I don't really enjoy the research when it hits roadblocks. But, I'd say 97% of the time I'm able to acquire everything needed for accuracy on at least one car from the season. Sometimes I'll think I'll have to skip a logo and then a few cars later there's another car with the same one and it's entirely visible, solving the issue on the previous car. That always rules. lol

I know the feeling. Same thing goes with my 2001 9/11 set from Dover2. I'm still finding issues to this day with my cars during research. Making new decals to match that exact race can also be a major pain too.

Anyways, awesome job on all of your cars so far!

So, this Bullfrog logo. I know it's the sunscreen brand. I have been able to locate the perfect text to vector for it. The image to the right is definitely part of the Bull Frog logo. If I had to guess, it appears to possibly be the bull frog mascot surfing. This, unfortunately, has been the best couple photos I've been able to find, so far. Anyone happen to ever come across a better look at this bad boy? I guess it could also be this image I found on this shirt. But I honestly have no damn idea. Any leads are much appreciated.

@Dr. Noise Interesing...

The 'Tyson' cont is from '91. Unless that is a pre-season image/promo (which over time has used older logos)?
Yeah, this is a case of a promo photo being taken for 1992 prior to the season starting. So, they have 1991 contigs with the 1992 sponsorship. Sometimes in pre Twin 125 races when they do all the photos from the pits, you'll see 1991 contigs they stuck on the car, too. then, by the time the televised races roll around, they've been updated with the 1992 stuff. It's kinda cool.

Based off that photo, it really does kinda look like it might be the shirt design, doesn't it? Different border and what not, but it sure does resemble it.

Alright, car is done. Though, I forgot to change the valence color to orange before I stuck it in the game, so it's black in the photos. I changed it afterwards.

Thanks to @Lastlap for the (obvious) assists up above. And to my partner Sammi Gruman who took care of lining the Bull Frog Sunscreen surfing frog. @Lastlap also assisted with updating a few of my contingencies that weren't quite accurate for the time. The Holley, Dayco, & Budget contigs have all been updated for accuracy. They will be updated on all previous cars, as well.

Derrike Cope's 1992 Purolator Chevy Lumina from Whitcomb Racing. I included some close up shots from within the Car Viewer, as well. All photos are clickable to expand.
