I'd think they'd use #44, since that was Johnsons number in ASA, it is a number associated with the Petty's, and is next in line up from #43. The only issue would be NY Racing, but who knows if they will race any more events, and I'd bet Petty-GMS could just slip them a grand or two to acquire the number rights.
