It seems that many people are getting their stuff removed because it is put in the wrong place. This is perfectly reasonable, the site needs to be kept clean and easy to navigate. However, it seems that once the file is removed, it's either deleted with no mention or (usually when the person is about to be banned) the person gets a DM telling them to put it in the correct spot. However, it is never stated WHERE to actually put the file. If it's such a common problem, couldn't you at least DM the person and tell them where the correct place would be? I feel like if you just tell them to screw off without telling them where they should put stuff, it scares off many potential painters, modders, and what have yous. Just a little suggestion.

It's very clear to me that you have not read or remember the posting rules. We always tell the people who upload their stuff in the wrong place that it was posted in the wrong place, as far as pointing them to the correct place, well after the 1000th time, it's very old, same with moving it for them, people need to learn how to read, period. The upload tut I posted is so simple even a caveman could follow it. The person who liked your post has been told 3 times that where he's uploading his (2) car files were in the wrong place, to go read the posting rules, because he didn't want to follow them. We have everything sorted, it's fairly easy to follow. Keeping things posted in the correct place keeps the search function working, you don't want this site to end up like NNRacing now do you.

The issue is that some people are confused on the difference between mods, carsets, and paint schemes. A lot of people consider schemes "mods," and consider carsets "schemes." Is it really too much to ask for people to say "Hey, actually that goes in this category."

Yes it is, I'm not going to lead people around by the hand, do a little research like the rest of us had to do. Is it that hard to expect someone to KNOW what they are posting.

If this is supposed to be the main hub for all things NR2003 there should at least be an explanation for what certain things are, no? You shouldn't have to go offsite to figure out what stuff is

No this isn't "supposed" to be anything more than a privately-owned site that ALLOWS folks to use our bandwidth to post up their own content, beyond that it each person's responsibility to learn how the site works, what the rules are, and conduct themselves within those parameters.

Nothing is hidden here, nothing is really that difficult to understand, it just takes a little self-initiative (meaning NOT BE LAZY) some reading and takes a moment to figure things out. If that is too difficult, then I suggest maybe a person ought to consider NOT posting.

If you knew how much ripped crap we and other sites have to deal with on a daily basis, perhaps you'd be a little less inclined to judge how we run this place.

None of this is free BTW, it costs money, money that 95% of the members and downloaders never think about let alone contribute to....

If other sites have to deal with the same volume, why don't they IP ban and scold people as frequently as this site? Assuming they're also paying for servers and bandwidth.

It seems you know a lot about how we run this site????? How did you come to get all this info????? There's several hundred people who have posted here without having a problem. How did you even get involved with our little 15 year old from Peru???

You know after all these years, I find your attitude offensive and you will be banned, I just know it, you think you're speaking for a mass of folks that feel the same way. Let me inform you of something, we the people who have kept this game fresh for all these years, the ones whom constantly are providing free content to all the "takers" out there who never donate to any sites, that never create thing one, that never bother to say thank-you...we get tired of young know-it-alls coming in and lecturing us on how this all works when you clearly have no idea of the amount of time we put into maintaining a site, or why we seem to be "grumpy" and unwilling to do all the work educating new members or people who lie about their age and all sorts of other dishonest crap...

You want respect? EARN IT!

Honestly, I seriously doubt this "conversation" will end without you being banned...frankly I have no more patience for the likes of your kind, I don't really care what you think and you're thinking you can school us is laughable and offensive.

I'd rather just ban you and forget all this...really I would, I don't have time for it and I don't like having to explain all this to a new "brilliant new dumb-ass every single day...

Try me! If I ban you, you get to be right...so there is a silver lining in this for both of us...

Well, not just him. Again, there's a Discord server I'm in that many people show off what they've made for NR2003, and it seems like every third person is having an issue. I personally have no issue with navigating the site, but again i've been using it for the better part of a year. Most of the issues that come up are from newer users of the site. All i'm doing is spitballing and asking questions, NONE of what I say has to be taken into consideration. I'm not trying to make a change to the site, after all it isn't mine, I just want to suggest something.

BTW, on June 14th you posted a car in the Original Cup Section, you failed to include a picture with the Download, NOT A PREVIEW image, the one in the description part of the download. So once again you are lecturing us on how to run our site yet you don't follow the rules...

You've made four posts(all of them right here) in just under a year...you've been weighed and found wanting...

Where am I lecturing? Just suggesting. That's what this part of the forums is for, innit? Help and or suggestions? Or do I need to do some research to figure out where I should have posted this?

Maybe you should ask all your disgruntled discord users what it was they did for us to take action. I think your just getting the one side that they did nothing wrong....

Make that five posts, why should we even consider what you say when you have already made up your mind that we are doing things wrong...

You act as if we have never heard any of these gems of wisdom before, trust me you have absolutely no idea...

Naw, honestly I do see when they don't credit and that's a major issue. My dad was a graphic artist and I would see how it crushed him when people stole his art. I am, again, just suggesting. I don't think how you run your site is bad, I'm just Suggesting.

IT"S been posted for years...why shouuld we have to show it to you. Stop being lazy and take a look around to see how the site works, look at other downloads to see what's required, and read the damn posting rules.

When you buy something, usually it comes with an instruction manual. Sites like google don't tell you what to do, cause they're simple and easy to get. When you have a site based off a game with a magnitude of content already, and it has many different subcategories, that can sometimes be hard to navigate, shouldn't there be a couple pointers? Discord is like butter to navigate and it still has a little bit of a tutorial when you first log in. I think Reddit does the same.

You're 15 years old, you need to learn to fish and quit expecting everyone to bring you fish. It really isn't that hard, we are not here to "serve" lazy and uninitiated people do things right, it's all there, face it, admit it, you just didn't care to be bothered to learn how to do it...

If I want to do something I take the time to figure things out. If we simply tell you exactly where you should have posted this or that, you'll just make the same mistake again...it happens every single day...it's on YOU to do it right...we have lives and things to do too you know, if we left it posted in the wrong place no one would find it, if we move it for you, you'll never learn to do it right, if we tell you exactly where to put it, you'll make the same mistake next time you want to post something...

This is not that hard to understand...
