On the actual Ice Planet 2002 Lego sets, the transparent neon orange *LIT UP* when you put them in the snow, and it was an amazing contrast to the blue/white color theme it had. Wouldn't surprise me if that's where the idea came from though. If you've heard of the orange transparent chainsaw, you know what Ice Planet 2002 was famous for.The orange makes me think UV protection, like those old school orange goggles when you are skiing. I love the clear fence idea though that is really cool!
