Funny thing is AMS2 and the Madness engine is a extensively reworked and upgraded version of the isimotor used in the EA PC and XBOX360/PS3 NASCAR games.this feels like going from NR03 to EA's Nascar games
Actually, outside of iRacing, which uses thier own engine dating back to GPL, and AC/ACC, which dates pack to NetKarPro, almost every other major sim on the market is some form of evolution of the original isiMotor used in Sports Car GT (RF2, SMS , and R3E each used/made their own developments on top of the original architecture.)
Ultimately AMS2, RF2, and R3E are as much SCGT as iRacing is Grand Prix Legends. Much evolved, modernized, improved and changed in almost all aspects but you can still track certain tendencies and underlying structural elements to the original source.
I guess it goes to show just how influential ISI's work really was. At this point isimotor based sims and offshoots are easily well in the double digits. SCGT, The EA PC NASCAR games, The EA PC F1 games, The various SimBin titles, the Madness engine titles(PCars1/2 AMS2, NFS Shift 1/2), RF1 and RF2, AMS1, ASR/ASRX, R3E, NASCAR 21: Ignition and those are the ones I can recall off the top of my head. That's excluding teams using the engine as a basis for real life simulator work.
