Since @Highbank doesn't seem to be around I'll tell you the answer to why we won't ever do that kind of thing.

First and foremost we are racers and that means race cars on asphalt race tracks.

We do simulation racing, which means we imitate the real thing as much as possible.

We don't play games, we drive simulators.

I tease @Highbank all the time about doing off the wall stuff, but that's fun for me.

Zoom is organized sim racing, if you want to play games do it on your own time.
I can't remember the last time this happened...if ever...but I (coughing... choking) agree with @The_Tigg!

But as everyone knows, I love the Prototype cars the most, but that doesn't seem to be as popular with the group.
No me, I love it all, would love to do a straight up DPI and GTE series. I'm so waiting on which North American tracks are coming to AMS 2, if enough come that's what I'd like to run instead of doing AC again and again and again.

@The_Tigg Tigg, I need to see who all come up with AMS2 before we can actually move in that direction...

@C5Volzfan John, I love the Prototypes, for me they represent the evolution of the Can-Am cars...pretty darn unlimited, pretty darn cool, and pretty darn fun to drive.

If wanting to go to something newer Maybe GT Classics in AM2? has just a Corvette and Porsche. With how the AI were working seems like they may be close enough in power to weight and handling edited left out part To make it doable... if One wants a Poorchee instead of a Vette they have that choice. :0) May be shootin myself in the foot here cuz something about most the car types in these newer games just do not agree with me like they seem to others. ha. But I just tried that and kinda liked it, very throttle sensitive.
Pecae! er Peace! Dyslexic fingers LOL.

Duane, you do realize that the newer games are MORE realistic than any of the forerunners? RIGHT? You've been lied to in the past, let go of those impressions and sensory lies and come into the light

Yes they have more points of realism and more FF going on. but often it seems conflicted and confused(oh wait maybe that's just me har;) excessive bump FF making wheel chatter while other stuff I cannot feel edit er could not tell what it meant, what the car wanted. then the rear will suddenly lose it unexpectedly, and just when that felt like it was going to be the perfect turn. I swear Jolly Green Giant's kid filcks the rear of the car around. ha. I can feel what is absent in NR2003 comparably but could often sense a correct turn better.. :)

Been getting more used to the newer stuff though.
3 reasons I kinda have not been into some newer stuff.
  • Many games did not have cars and or Tracks I wanted to drive(maybe some do now.).
  • I was using an old over ten year old massive wheel play MOMO Black. EDIT: MOMO with massive wheel play...
  • Lot of trouble sometimes getting a wheel to seem to feel right where NR2003 always felt fine.
Now I have been able to get this G27 I have now adjusted mostly well, some cars in AC etc. though the wheel still would be radically different and make it hardly drive-able.
Trying to get dialed in better! :)
Thanks!

Used a Momo for over 15 years, was given a G27, the only "old" sim that got better were Simbin sim, NASCAR stuff just felt dead to me after the switch.
Yeah I think a lot of the Weight feel went away from MOMO to G27. the feel seemed THINNER(for a lack of better word) to me on G27... EDIT: But more chattering bumps...
