Excellent paintscheme, the 26 car is a timeless classic.

So, in order to help with the forgotten rides of 1992 season, I did some researches on the 27 car, and this time I was a bit more lucky with the paintschemes than the 24 cars! And here it is what I've found across the Youtube videos of the full races and the paintschemes made by Chris Sullivan, found on the FB group NR2003 Missing Years (ALL THE CREDITS GOES TO HIM). In 1992, the 27 car appeared on a limited schedule in 4 NASCAR Winston Cup Series starts, ran by Linro Motorsports...

I have a few better photos on a couple of these cars than these in some aspects. But I would like to know where this other fella saw the photos to pull the designs he did. He seems to get a lot of details I have not yet come across in the way of sponsor placement, but he also shortcuts a lot in the way of accuracy (with regards to numbers, contigs, and fonts). Because of the shortcuts, without some decent photos or video, I can't use his stuff as a means of reference. I already screen grabbed the black 27 car a while back. The black/pink one I have a promo photo of, but it's a bad angle and doesn't reveal enough. I'd have to do a lot of guesswork.

Ok I'm gonna send him a message about it and eventually ask about the paintschemes that he made and if he could help us by using it as a reference, it could be great.

Back in the day this website hosted a ton of old photos. I used it a lot. Photos were not always clear but there was a lot posted here at one time. I cant seem to get on it any more.

Apparently I've been on that site in the past cause I had an account. I was unable to get onto mine, either. I was able to create a new one and get signed in, though. I wonder if they had done some sort of update to their log-in process at some point and it affects some of the account's abilities to log in.

They did at one point. It was originally simracin40.proboards25.com and then after a probaords update they switched to just proboards.com and most of the photos were lost due to people using imageshack or putfile or whichever site it was that shut down at one point.
Some of us still use it. And there is still a lot of really good photos available. I have a backup of all the Cup cars from 89 to approximately 97 or 98 from their site as of a few years ago. And I also backed up photos from RURA during the same time period. (I was doing this in 2019 early 2020 before the RURA hack took the archive down.)

Rock on. Thanks @CC#48 @psugorilla & @Sim1Ghila for the new directions and photos, I have been able to obtain everything needed for the black/pink car. That one is good to go. I do have a couple photos of the other black car, but not good enough to actually read what's on the quarters. As for the rest, I haven't done much research yet. But, if anyone comes across something, by all means post it! :) Hopefully we can get something super solid for all of them.

Alright, Jeff McClure is good to go. Good ol' 1 race paint scheme. For Jeff it was his only cup race, period. There is a logo that appears on the B pillars that I could not identify. Unless a photo surfaces that is closer to that B pillar, it's going to take some sort of miracle to figure out what it is. So, for now I left it off. If something comes up in research before the project ends, and we figure it out, I'll stick it on the car. Otherwise I find it's best to just leave it off rather than substitute it. I did find the official 'Race for Life' logo, though. It didn't end up on the final version of the McClure car, but it's the 'National Marrow Donor Program'. I had considered subbing it out for that but, in the end, felt it better to leave that area blank.

In Italy this is called "To have more ass than soul" (a way to say that you had a massive luck. C'hai più culo che anima!x'D). This is the quarter panel of Gary Balough's car at Charlotte after the wreck. He was interviewed during a caution period.

Took the screenshot from NASCAR Classics where the full race was uploaded

that's a good find. Balough raced the winston open too. He spun and the camera was on him for a while but couldn't make out the sponsors (assuming this is what Dr. Noise was referring to :coldsweat: )

For the McClure car, it honestly looks like it could be an all white checkered racing flag. When you zoom in on it, you can see the handle for the 'flag' coming down.

It would make sense with the 'Race For Life' part.

Gary Balough is complete! Thanks for the photos fellas. They helped to uncover everything for the car. I took a long close look at the video replay for the Coke 600 and was able to confirm everything needed. Oddly enough, you'll see that one side of the car is missing decals. That is on purpose. The Berean, Montgomery, Spies/Hecker, & 81 Graphics logos all ended up only on the left side of the car. Also the numbers were huge on this thing.

As for the 2 Bill Schacht cars, I am still waiting (and hopeful) that my feelers will turn up some results. I have not yet reviewed video for either car, yet. We'll get it figured out, though. I am able to recognize the tail of the red car that the sail panel has a Linro Racing logo on it. So, I guess that's something. lol.

Just watched the Budweiser at The Glen race. The paintscheme of Bob Schact's Oldsmobile seems pretty consistent from what I was able to catch from the video

Davey Allison is complete! Feel free to click on the image to expand its size. Sammi drew Spot for me (from the 7up logo). It's in such a tiny spot on the car, I added spot to my logo so he could be seen. :)

Other than Spot which Sammi did, I've redrawn pretty much this entire car. Created new logos for the big T & circle, new Havoline(s) (hood & quarter/rear), New trunk 'Texaco System 3', new numbers, new CCD Transport logo, new 7up logos, & new Autolite logo.

Anyways, I'll come back to the other 27 cars, once research can be a bit more accurate. I haven't really looked for anything on the red car, yet. I have sent out photo requests to a couple different folks and response has been slow. So, we'll circle back.

Edit** - @Lastlap threatened to rough me up if I didn't add the jack post tape I had forgotten. So, I added it. :extremelyhappy:
